Christmas

For Christmas I got a laptop, 3 books on training dogs, Percy Jackson and, a troy and abed in the morning cup from the show community. I'm spending Christmas in Jasper. The laptop I got is the laptop I'm using right now. The reason I got 3 books on training dogs is because I have a jack russel who is really hyper and I really want to train him.

Citizenship Award

Today I won a Citizenship Award. I got it with 2 of my friends because of our bake sale which was really successful. We got a package during school which also contained a Christmas Card. It is hung right now in my classroom right now as an achievement.

Winning tickets to the oil king game

Today my class won tickets to the oil kings game on next Wednesday. We won tickets because my class is in a progam where if each kid in your class reads for 400 minutes each month then there name is entered in a random draw and if ypur class in drew you win free tickets. I'm not the biggest hockey fan but I am excited for the game. The program is also with the Edmonton Oillers but they have been on lockout since September or October.

Going to the Edmonton Humane Society

Today I went to the Edmonton Humane society. We met a lot of cats that we got to pet. My favourite one was this one my friend named precious. Precious was a black and white kitten. My friends brother favourite cat was one I named Chocolate. Chocolate was also black and white and he was also an adult cat.  My friends favourite cat was one named sternly who looked similar to Chocolate. We saw a cat getting surgery done. It was a serginist pulling blood out of cat with what looked like a needle. We saw mother and baby cats but we didn't get to pet them.

Bake Sale

On Wednesday November 28th, me and my friends are doing a Bake Sale. All the donation kids give will go to the .............. Edmonton Humane Society. The Edmonton Humane Society is an animal shelter which I also got my cat Toonie from when I was a baby and I still have her today. The food will cost $1 and it will be at my school. We are selling cookies cake pops and cupcakes. Also if you buy 2 candies you'll get a free tatto. 

going to a new school

When we bought our new house 2 weeks ago my parents said I had to go to my brothers school. That is because our new house is far away from my old school. My new schoool is grade K-9 and I'm in 4. The school is called crestwood and I get to look at it on Wednesday.

London 2012 Olympics

On July 26th  london olympics began. Many teams are best at track but a few aren't. China are in the lead. Gymnastics is my Favourite sport and my favourite athlete is Nadia comanceci, who scored 6 perfect 10's, in the 1976 montreal olympics, in gymnastics, when she was 14. I'm cheering for U.S.A because I was born there.

Japan

Last Sunday I cam back from Japan. I went to 3 cites Tokyo Kyoto and fukawoka. In fukawoka I won this huge hello kitty toy from a claw and at the same place I won the claw. Also in fukawoka Adam had a sushi meal with a tiger prom moving. In Kyoto we stayed in a budis monistry mom and me had to share a room and Adam and dad had to. Tokyo when we were flying back we almost missed our flight. Also in Tokyo mom and me had to go to this huge dpt. store to shop for a friend and the boys came with us and they were pinkafied.

Piano recitel

Last Sunday had a piano recitel. We sang one song called lullaby of stars and we played one song called an evening star. There were about 5 other groups playing and I though one of them was very cute because 4 and 5 year old were singing a song called frogs on a wheel. We were probably the biggest group because most were 1 - 2 people per group. At the end I got a black ribbon.

Starting Handbells

On Friday I started Handbells. You play handbells in Grade 4, 5 and 6 and I'm almost in grade 4 so I'm starting. Handbells are tiny bells you throw hard forward. I just learned what letter my hand bell is by looking at the symbol from the bottam and seeing the letter.

Basil/ living in a house with 2 cats and one dog

Basil is a small Brown, white and black dog that was born Feb 15th 2012. He doesn't like being alone for along time (so it's been hard to sleep for the past few days) but he loves going out. I think Tiger has been around dogs before because she isn't starting the fight. However Toonie is growling and hissing every single minute of her life. Whenever they fight Basil jumps on someone to prove he owns us. If you pet a cat when he is looking he get really mad. Tiger on the other hand is completely fine with sharing a bed with him. They aren't really friends because they ignore each other. Basil is noticing that tiger wants to be left alone so he leaves her alone before the fights on.

Jasper

Today, once again I came back from Jasper. We stayed in a suite, not in a hotel but a house. It was really fun mainly because there was one 9 year old girl named Athena for me to play with. Also there was an 11 year old boy named Logan and a 13 year old boy named Liam for Adam to play with it. It was also fun because I got to ride on horse named Chase but I forgot his name at the end of the ride and started calling him Crash. Adam horses name was Dacoda who was pretty slow. Mom had a horse named bugs who was too fast and dad's horse Rio kept on sniffing bugs butt. The same day we went on a cave walk. On the final day we went on a long hike.

planning to get a puppy

Last Saturday we planned to get a puppy. On mother's day were going to pick out our puppy and were getting it after we finish our vacation in July to Japan. The puppy will be a male jack russell named basil. The reason it's a puppy is because when it grows up to can be fine with our cats and the reason it's a male is because the kennel were going to only has male puppies.

Making pysanky

On Wednesday I made a pysanky (a Ukrainian easter egg). I has done 3 designs 1 ribbon 1 flower and 1 christian symbol. The ribbon was red, the flower was yellow and the christian symbol was orange. The background was suppose to be black but it ended up dark red on mine.

Going to Jasper

Today I got back from Jasper. We went skiing 2 days in a row and on our final day we went to pyramid lake and maligne canyon. We went to marmot basin both of the days and I managed to do black diamond for about a minute. My favourite run was paradise, a blue run. At pyramid lake me and Adam had weapon building contest. I tried to make a bow and arrow out of grass and sticks but it didn't turn out so well. Adam made a successful spear out of sticks. At the maligne canyon we got to go to down to the lake but it was frozen since it's winter. My favourite part was sliding in a cave under the ice.

Finishing Catching Fire

Today I finished the 2nd book in the hunger games trilogy, Catching Fire. The book is called catching fire because in the first book for the tributes welcoming Kattniss costume is coal and her stylist Cinna calls her the girl on fire. At the end it says district 12 gets destroyed because the capitol wants revenge on Kattniss. Luckily Kattniss's sister, Prim her mom and her best friend Gale manage to get out of the district alive.

Gymnastic camp

On Tuesday my gymnastic started. Adam was in a sport camp. On Tuesday my camp went bowling at W.E.M, Wednesday we went mini golfing, Thursday we went to the sea lion show. My favourite part was the trampoline when I could do flips. I was in the group for 6-10.

Hunger games movie

Yesterday I went to the hunger games movie. The movie was very close to the book and my favourite part in the movie and the book was the interviews. There were 2 differences I noticed and one of them is where Kattniss got the mocking jay pin. In the book Kattniss got it from Madge the mayors daughter, In the the movie Kattniss got the pin from Greasy Sae. Also Petta told Kattniss Rue's name in the book and in the movie he didn't.

Michael Kostek's Birthday

Today was Mr. Kostek's Birthday. Mr. Kostek is the person we named my our school after (Michael. A. Kostek).  Unfourtenly Mr. Kostek  has been very old and sick for two years in a row now. Last year for the Mr. Kostek's Birthday we had a B-day assembly and we recorded it. The year before we did a play and I got casted as a frog. I also got two cupcakes because a kid in my class brought extras.

The barrowers

A few weeks ago I started reading the borrowers. It's about a 13 year old kid named Airretty and her mom Pod and her dad Homily who barrow things from humans. They live under the humans floor and are as small as a apple. When Airretty is told she can barrow she gets excited, excited until she is seen by a 10 year old Indian boy. I'm still not at the part where they say what the boys name is. Homily has also been seen by the boy when he was barrowing a dolls tea cup. When Arrietty does her second barrowing, her dad overhears Arrietty taking to the boy. When Arrietty borrows she has to where a red dress, her dad wears blue pants and a blue shirt. However Pod does not barrow.

Happy Birthday dad

Yesterday was dad's Birthday. We actually forgot about one thing and that is CAKE. I got dad a pair of shorts, Adam got dad a strap for his yoga mat and mom got dad a coffee maker with some coffee to make. We gave dad his presents on March 3rd not March 4th. The funniest part was when Mamo called and I thought she was a hotel.

getting my swimming report card

On Wednesday I got my swimming report card. I was on Star 1 and I managed to male it to star 2. My favourite skill is cannonballs and I can make a huge splash. When I do straight jumps my feet can touch the bottom of the pool. 

Assembally

Yesterday I had an assembly. It was on Peru which is a unit in sociaI finished a few weeks ago. My class did it on a game show and I was contestant 3. The other grade 3 classes did it on Peru presentation and similarities and differences. Heres a fact about Peru. There are plants in the rainforest used to make medicine. Mom was watching the assembly. When I tried out I was trying out for the host but didn't get the role.

The hunger games

Yesterday I finished the hunger games. It's by Suzanne Collins. The hunger games is where 12 girls and 12 boys fight to death on live T.V. It's about a 16 year old girl named Katniss Everdeen, who volunteers for her 12 year old sister Primrose Everdeen. There are 13 districts and district 13 got burned down and the capitol who owns all the district makes the districts to pick one girl and one boy between the ages of 12 and 18. I don't know all the kids but I'll tell you the ones I know. Rue and Thresh from district 11. Peeta and Katniss from district 12. Clove and Cato from district 2. Last but not least Glimmer fro m district 1. Peeta actually had a crush on Katniss since they were 5 when Peeta's dad said' see that little girl over there I wanted to marry her mother but she ran in a coal mine when I told her that". She recognizes the bird too, some wild thing called a grossling in her district. She says some times a flock will wander in her orchid and get a decent lunch that day. For a while our conversation stop as we fill our stomach. The grossing has delicious meat that's so fatty, the grease drips down your face when you bite into it. Oh says Rue with a sigh. I've never had a whole leg to myself before. I'll bet she hasn't. I'll bet meat hardly ever comes her way. Take the other I say. Really? she asks. Take whatever you want. Now that I've got a bows and arrows, I can get more. Plus I've got snares. I can show you how to set them," I say. Rue looks uncertainly at the leg. Oh take it I say putting the drumstick in her hands. It will only keep a few days anyway, and we've got the whole bird plus the rabbit. Once she's got hold of it, Her appetite wins out and she takes a huge mouthful. I'd have thought in district 11 have a bit more to eat then us. You know since you grow the food I say. Rue's eyes widen. Oh no were not allowed to eat the crops. They arrest you are something. They wip you and make everyone else watch says Rue. The mayors very strict about it. I can tell by her expression it's not that uncommon. A public whipping is very rare in district 12. Occasionally one occurs. Technically Gale and I could be wipped for daily poaching in the woods

Cats

On Thursday I went to a musical called cats. It had face painting because it was kids night. I bought some cat sunglasses. The play was about a poem about strange cat macavity and all the cats are scared of the macavity. The poem makes the cats dance around and sing songs about macavity. At the intermission I went up to the instruments and these two cats came up, one tiger and one white cat. I saw the tiger first and I asked if it was and actor and the cat stared at me with a straight face. I also got 3 autographs from the actors.

Buying at stores

Today I bought at stores. Lauren was selling sugar cookies, wallets with free stickers, fortune tellers and pencils. I bought all those things except the pencils because she was sold out when I came. I started off with 12:77 cents and I ended up with 12 cents. 3 people were selling pop corn and surprisingly some people didn't have popcorn. I bought a scarlet bracelet with 3 flowers around it too.

Book fair

Today I went to the book fair. The funny thing is I didn't buy any books but I did buy a Smurffette poster, an angry bird poster, two erasers and one of them were shaped like a camera and a how to make a ring book. Adam has the exact same angry bird poster as me. The smurffette poster at the bottom said smurfalicous. The how to make a ring shows 6 different ways. There were also video game erasers but I didn't buy it.

Skiing

Today I went skiing at rabbit hill. I went on a black diamond, a blue run and a green run. I had to rent my ski boots and skis. There were many ways to get up including T bar, Toe rope and chair lifts. My helmet was purple. My skis were red and white. My ski boots were black.

Hugo

Today I went to Hugo. It's about a kid named Hugo who's dad dyed and meets a kids named Isabelle who's mom and dad dyed when she was a baby. Eventually Isabelle gets adopted by her god father who is Hugo's uncle. Hugo's uncle is very strict because he made some of the first movies that people stopped watching.

Silver skate festival

Today I went to the silver skate festival.We went into a tipi and made an aboriginal pouch. I tried cinnamon and raison banack from the aboriginals. We looked at ice sculptures but most of them were still being made because today was the first day of the festival. We did 4 laps of skating and I had 4 cups of hot chocolate.

Valentines day

Tuesday was Valentines day. I had 3 3-D cards. The 3-d cards were a puppy  card, a star wars card and the penguins of madagascar card. I got tones of lolly pop. Sydney gave me an eraser and a matching note pad. My favourite card was the 3-D dog card.

Finishing science

Last Thursday I finished science. It was h and s which stands fir hearing and sound. My favourite experiment was silly salt. What we did was get some salt and put and elastic band around a coffee can, put music on close to the salt and watch it move. Our science duo tangs are green

Getting new glasses

Yesterday I got new glasses. I got new ones because my pink and purple pair broke. My glasses are the same ones as I wore to Ireland in blue. I like the blue ones more because they match my eye colour. I have to wear skinny pairs because there stronger.

Robe Quest

Today I went to Rope Quest in W.E.M which stands for west edmonton mall. We had a harness around our waists and we had to walk across a bunch of obstacles. My favourite one was when you had to go across tight rope. I slipped about 3 times and I really wanted to test out what happened if you really fell. There were 3 floors and my favourite one was the middle floor.

Having my math test

Today I had my math test. It was on adding two digit and three digit numbers. We had many things to do it on including estimating. What estimating is like when the number is 14 + 85 you round it up to the nearest ten. 85's closest ten is 90 and 14's closest ten is 10 so the estimate for 14 and 85 is 100. Do you know what mental math means? It means to add in your head I think I probaly got 1 wrong on my math test. Our math dou-tangs are white.

11 Birthdays

Yesterday I got a book called 11 birthdays from the library. It's NOT by Kate Dicimillo but it is by Wendy Mass. It's about a kid named Amanda who was born at the same time at the same hospital on the same day as a boy named Leo. On Amanda an Leo's second Birthday they shared rooms. Heres the page copy.


I nod, still not meeting her gaze. Let me get my shoes. A few minutes later I'm standing in her driveway waiting for her car out of the garage. I excepted her to drive something sensible and environmentally friendly. Instead she backs out in a bright orange jaguar. My mouth falls open. I cautiously get in the car, afraid to touch the wood or leather, which is what everything seems to be made of. It feels like I'm sitting on a cloud. She laughs when she sees my expression. I call this little beauty 'late life Chris". A car like this has got to have a name. I never had a midlife Chris because I was too happy, so thats where she gets her name. It was either this car or tattoo. A tattoo wow! Boy you never really know people. She laughs again. I was just kidding on the tattoo. I redden again. Oh right. Well it's a really nice car. She pats on the dashboard fondly. Thank you. We don't talk much on the 5 minute drive. I cough once or twice, but my heart isn't in it. Dr. Frileling sees me right away, and I try not to gag on the flat stick he lays on my tongue. He feels the side of my neck and cheeks my eyes and ears.

The Susseical

Today I went to the suessical. Its a doctor Susse musical. My favourite charactar was Gertude Mcfuzz. I thought it was really funny at the end when Horton had an elephird because a it was a birds egg that Horton took care of. I thought it was really cool when we were in the spotlight. Another cool part was when the cat in the hats hat was on the stage and it was moving.

A trip to space

On tuesday I made a story called a trip to space. If you read a book called the hunger games you`ll see something in comman. Heres the story.

Kaboom! Our house lifted right off the ground and we were 16 inches away from space. HELP I kept on yelling. The reason we were going to space was because my mom, Kattniss and my annoying dad, Petta wanted to go to dumb space since they were little kids. I, Prim which is short for Primrose hated that horrible idea. It felt like a roller coaster getting up to space and I`m afraid of roller coasters. The reason we were travelling in our house was because my mom couldn`t afford a space ship. Finally we were at space. I did an excellent cartwheel but the ground felt cold. Why would the sun ever be cold? Mom and dad said we were going to land on the sun. I looked down and there it was white and dusty the moon. Great! The only good part about this vacation wasn`t happning. Who are you someone said. The voice didn`t sound like my mom or dad. I looked around we were surrounded by aileins. Who are you one of the ailens said again. P-P-Primrose I struggeled to say. K-K-Kattnis my mom said like she didn`t like the idea of going to space after all. Hi my name is Petta my dad said. I couldn`t believe it my dad actually said that with his eyes open. My mom and I held on to each other while my dad tugged on our sleves telling us to be friendly. After a while the aliens kidnapped us and hung us on a stick and fed us dog food. After months of being treated like that we got what we wanted. A real house made out of stick and real food. What a surprise we had a house on the moon.

making an advertisement

Today I made a advertisement. It was  for white paint. I did it down in the basement with the pottery mamo gave me for Christmas. I was going to take before and after pictures but I decided to do the add. The reason I did the add is because I love acting.  The adds at the top.

Having my BD party

Yesterday and today I had my BD party. I got a moshi monster member ship, moshing code, moshi monster watch fur real friend and monster high diary. I didn't feel like shopping for my party indgreadents and mom didn't know what kind of cake I wanted so she made it herself and it was a porcupine cake. Mom made cookies, top hats, and granola bars. My friend Hannah got to stay till twelve thirty and that made Syd want to stay till twelve thirty so they both did.

having my Science test

Today I had my science test. It was on ears. I know I did a good job on my test because I'm not one of the kids who had to restudy. My favourite question was the last question where we had to name 5 ways of how to protect our ears. My favourite one I did was the one where I said don't turn the volume up too loud when your listening to music and I drew a picture of my I pod playing my favourite album speak now by Taylor Swift. My science is green.

Problem sloving test

Yesterday I had my problem solving test. I don't know what I got but I think it was around 1 wrong. My favourite stratagety is guess and cheak where it says they spent 55 cents in toatal. Molly spent 17 cents more. our problem solving duotangs are yellow

Having my piano class

Yesterday I had my piano class. I have a keyboard at home and I use it to practice. My first class was actually last week but mom thought it 3:00 - 4:00 when it was 2:00 - 3:00. I'm not a presonial on piano and I only know two songs and they are twinkle twinkle little star and hot cross buns. I think I got my keyboard in August.

My Birthday

Yesterday was my BD. I got an angry bird speaker from mom and dad and a crayola for drawing on my I pad. I had a fruit cake flavoured cake. I brought chocolate chip cookies into my class. I got a BD pencil from the office and it was black with lots of happy faces and streamers.

Making a newspaper

Today I made a newspaper. I don't know what to name it but if you have an idea post it as a comment. My newspaper re port today was called angry days because it was about angry birds. Tomorrow I'm doing it on the worlds hardest game and I'm calling it dot it out because the world hardest game is that your a dot and you have to get to a red square without getting touched by these globs.

The miraculous journey of Edward tulane

Today I got The Miraculous Journey Of Edward Tulane. I beth you can guess who it's by. Your right! It Kate Dicimmillo. This book is about a rabbit on a journey but then he get lost and get found by a little girl who treats him badly.  I haven't read the book so theres nothing really left to write about but heres the page copy. 


At first the others thought that Edward was great joke. A rabbit the hoboes said laughing. let chop him up and put him up and put him in the stewpot. Or when bull sat with Edward carefully balanced on his knee one of them would call out got yourself a little dolly bull. Edward of course felt a surge of anger at being referred to as a dolly. But bull never got angry. He simply sat with Edward on his knee and said nothing. Soon, the men became accustomed to Edward, and word of excitence spread.

Going back to school

Today I went back to school. I told my friends who I was inviting to my Birthday party and they were all excited. This year I could only invite 3 kids because it's going to be a sleepover. Someone else in my class had their Birthday on the 4th and they brought in cupcakes and my friends kept on asking was it my Birthday today . I had brought in shark teeth I bought from vacation and every one took a look and some people even touched. 

Ireland

Last blog I wrote was about the planes this one is about the adventure. One of my favourite things to do was ripping myg preaseants open because for some reason I like ripping the preaseants then seeing what they are. This year I had managed not to cry but I was still very sad. I really loved the sleepovers especially the way I got to watch Hop with the carrrs. When I had the sleep over at the Dailys we basically stayed up all night. I really liked the chocalattes from the Edwards and I think Rowan loved moshi monster because of the game where you could make cupcake. I really liked the way I slept at Mamo's every night and the Mamo filled in for the pudding when mom's was done.

getting back from Ireland

Today I came back to Edmonton. I'm happy on one side and sad on the other side. I'm happy because I missed my friends and cats. I'm sad because I miss my relatives. The good news is that I didn't have to go through Calgary airport. Thats good news because in Calgary airport you have to wait like 7 hours to get on a plane. Adam's the same as me when it comes to happy and sad. He's happy because the same as me and he gets to build a huge ship mom and got. He's also happy because he gets to play on the two games Santa got him. He's sad because the same reason as me.
